GRANT WRITING WORKSHOPS - 2008
The Graduate School is hosting a series of grant writing workshops for advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars throughout the fall semester. The workshops are guided by principal investigators in engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, quantitative social sciences, qualitative social sciences, medical sciences, and arts and humanities, and are intended for individuals with some prior grant experience.
This year an introductory workshop to grant writing will be offered early fall semester. This workshop will assume no prior experience with grantsmanship and is be open to all graduate students regardless of program. The workshop will emphasize the basic aspects of grant writing, including types and sources of funding, grant terminology, and characteristics of fundable proposals. Registration is required for this workshop and attendance can be up to 300 students. For the discipline-specific workshops, students may attend only one and registration is required, as attendance is limited to 50 participants per workshop.
