Purpose and Goals of NEAGEP

The Northeast Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate is a consortia of schools committed to the recruitment, retention and graduation of underrepresented students in math, science, engineering and technology. The Alliance is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The Alliance provides information to students on graduate education, summer research opportunities for undergraduates interested in graduate education, mentoring by select faculty volunteers, opportunities to network in ways that lead to degree completion and other activities that lead to increased numbers of underrepresented students in the stated fields.
