American Indian Leadership Program

American Indian Leadership Program

The American Indian Leadership Program was founded in 1970 and is one of the oldest and most successful programs of its kind in the United States. One of the objectives of the program is to develop individual leadership that will be able to support intellectual development, create positive change, and function in complex environments, and help to define and shape the future of American Indians and Alaska Natives and their communities. The program is housed in the College of Education, Department of Education Policy Studies. Please visit their Web site at http://www.ed.psu.edu/ailp/.
