Students, Faculty May Enter Online for Graduate Exhibition

University Park -- Students, Faculty May Enter Online for the 20th Annual Graduate Exhibition

All degree-seeking graduate students who are currently enrolled in Penn State's graduate degree programs may enter online to participate in the 20th Annual Graduate Exhibition. Faculty members and graduate students who would like to serve as judges may also enter online.

The Graduate Exhibition provides a platform for graduate students to showcase their research and artistic accomplishments and offers a unique professional development opportunity. Unlike meetings defined by discipline, the Exhibition places special emphasis on communicating research and creative endeavors to a broad audience, and challenges students to present their work in clear, comprehensible terms to people outside their fields of study.

Approximately $10,000 is awarded in this annual competition. Students whose exhibits are judged best in each of the seven categories--Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, Performances, Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Visual Arts--receive cash awards of $100 to $500.

The 20th Annual Graduate Exhibition will be held on the University Park campus, March18 and 20, and will begin with Performances on March 18, from 7 to 10 p.m., in the Esber Recital Hall in Music Building I. Poster presentations will be given on March 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Alumni Hall at the HUB-Robeson Center. The Visual Arts will be on display March 18 through April 17, and presentations will be given on March 20, in the Gallery of the HUB. Announcement of the winners will take place at the Awards Ceremony on March 20, at 4:30 p.m. in the HUB Auditorium.

To enter online, please visit http://www.gradsch.psu.edu/exhibition/guidelines.html or for more information about the Graduate Exhibition, visit www.gradsch.psu.edu/exhibition/. Students and faculty may enter up until 5 p.m. on February 11.
