McNair Scholars Program Summer Research Conference

University Park, PA -- McNair Scholars Program Summer Research Conference

McNair Scholars from around the country will showcase their undergraduate research projects, interview with graduate school representatives, and discuss graduate education possibilities at Penn State's McNair Scholars Program Thirteenth Annual Research Conference to be held July 29-31, at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.

This national conference attracts 250-300 undergraduate McNair Scholars and their faculty advisors, along with McNair program directors. This group represents many of the 180 higher education institutions hosting a federally-funded Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program.

The McNair programs help prepare academically gifted, low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented college students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities.
