Research Symposium Caps SROP

University Park -- Research Symposium Caps SROP at Penn State

As the final stage in the Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) at Penn State, thirty-three students will present their research projects at the SROP Research Symposium on Tuesday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Nittany Lion Inn. The University community is invited to attend the symposium and may preview the schedule of research topics and presenters online.

The SROP is designed to interest talented, undergraduate students from underrepresented groups in academic careers and to enhance their preparation for graduate study through intensive research experiences with faculty mentors.   Students participating in the program are enrolled in undergraduate degree programs at colleges and universities from across the country and from the island of Puerto Rico.
